- The ZXP Series 7 is a larger printer and is suitable for professionals who demand high quality, quantity and speed of printing. It allows edge-to-edge printing with photographic quality and is customisable with numerous encoding or lamination modules.
The ZXP Series 9 is the top of the range model. In addition to high print quality and speed, it offers the best security and counterfeit prevention options.
The ZC range contains only one printer, the ZC10L. It is unique in that it can print on demand large format badges (88 mm x 140 mm). This type of product is particularly sought after in the leisure, events and tourism sectors.
Zebra's latest range of card printers includes the ZC models. These are the most recent and innovative printers in their design. Therefore we will go into more detail on the two models of this range, namely the ZC100 and ZC300.
The ZC100
L'Zebra ZC100 printer is the evolution in every respect of Zebra's previous entry-level model, the ZXP Series 1. The aim of this model is to offer a compact, reliable and easy-to-use design printer at a low price.
The design
The design is flawless. The printer is elegant with a very slim and modern profile, making it discreet and high-tech. It easily fits into even the most cramped workspace.
The key word: simplicity
In terms of simplicity, it doesn't get much better than this. The ZC100 is a so-calledplug and play". This means that the printer is fully pre-programmed, just plug it in and start producing cards immediately.
In terms of connectivity, it has a usb port for easy connection to your computer and allows (optionally) connection via wifi or ethernet.
Another simplification: the card feeder, with a capacity of 100 units, automatically adapts to the thickness of the cards, ranging from 0.254 mm to 1.524 mm.
When it comes to changing consumables, once again everything is done to simplify your life. An indicator light tells you when it is time to change the ribbon. The ribbon is accessible with a simple gesture, and has a handle that leaves no doubt as to how to insert or remove it.
Last but not least, the user interface. Available in several languages, it is clear and intuitive and allows you to preview your badge before printing.
Performance
From a safety point of view, the ZC100 offers a few options that are welcome for an entry-level model.
-During printing, the data is encrypted (AES encryption)
-The printer has an authentication system to prevent it from being used by any third party application.
-It allows (as an option) the addition of encoders for magnetic strips or contactless chips
In terms of print quality, the ZC100 has a resolution of 300 dpi with direct dye sublimation thermal transfer technology.
It can print single-sided cards in monochrome (750 cards/h) and in colour (150 cards/h).
