HID smart cards
Welcome to our HID badges page! We're here to help you understand the differences between the different options available, so you can choose the one that best suits your needs.
HID badges are security devices used to control access to sensitive areas, such as offices or data centers. Badges are available in a variety of formats, including Isoprox, Duoprox, Proxcard and iClass, and even SEOS.
HID Isoprox, HID Duoprox, and HID Proxcard are standard 125kHz proximity badges, while HID iClass and HID SEOS 13.46 MHz badges offer additional features such as the ability to store additional information on the badge. The latter also offer enhanced security through advanced encryption technology.
HID cards are also available in multi-technology, i.e., with two RFID chips, one in 125 kHz and another in 13.56 MHz, so that your HID badges are compatible with two types of readers, on two different establishments for example. The complementary RFID chip can be either a HID technology or a third party technology such as NXP DESFire or NXP Mifare.
Most HID cards are available with an additional magnetic stripe as an option. This is the case of the HID Duoprox cards which are equipped with it as standard.
