How the Magicard Holokote works
During the standard printing process of plastic cards, theHolokote Magicard is embedded in the transparent protective layer of the card (overlay).
A watermarked image appears when the card is oriented to the light, allowing a quick and easy visual control of the authenticity of the card.

Magicard Pronto, Enduro and Rio Pro printers have 4 different standard Holokote patterns built into their drivers by default, allowing a choice of different watermarks for visual protection of cards.
Custom Holokote watermark
Magicard Rio Pro printers and soon the new Helix, have a Holokote personalization option allowing you to integrate your logo or any other security logo as a secure watermark when printing your cards.
The Rio Pro printer and the custom Holokote option
The personalized Holokote requires an activation kit including a CD and an encrypted RFID card containing your logo but no additional consumables. This secure RFID card is inserted into the printer and activates the Holokote printing.
Additional anti-fraud security
In addition, Magicard maintains a secure archive of all custom Holokotes to prevent two companies from printing the same watermark.
The custom Holokote Magicard is an innovative security solution that is immediately available and much less expensive than a custom hologram protection solution.
Holokote and Retransfer with Helix
The Helix sera printer is the first retransfer printer that will integrate a visual security solution without any specific consumable.

Magicard has developed an evolution of its Holokote specifically for the Helix printer.
The Holokote for Helix works differently from standard Holokotes: it uses the wavelengths and mirror effect of the retransfer film to incorporate a fluorescent effect in the presence of UV light.
Another special feature of the Holokote Helix is that it has up to 10 different designs that can be selected from the printer driver. And as with the Rio Pro, it is also possible to integrate your own personalized logo.
Holokote and Holopatch
It's hard to talk about the Holokote without mentioning the Holopatch (a Magicard exclusive here too).
The Holopatch is a very special golden square, integrated in the plastic of some cards, which has the function of highlighting the holokote in a corner of the card, giving it a holographic appearance.
