Recycling accessories and badge holders

A solution for recycling your lanyards, badge holders, clips and plastic cards!

zero waste box

Many companies and event organizers are faced with a recurring problem: what to do with accessories they no longer need? Often, these items are simply thrown away, as they can't be handled by conventional recycling centers.

Thanks to Zero Waste™ Boxes, you now have a practical solution for recycling your cords, badge holders and other fasteners. So, instead of simply being disposed of by landfill or incineration, the items contained in these boxes will be sorted and transformed into reusable materials.

The Zero Waste™ Box: an innovative approach to recycling

The Zero Waste™ Box represents an innovative approach to recycling, based on the all-in-one concept. Indeed, the cost of this product encompasses not only the container itself (the box), but also all the services associated with the recycling process.

Thus, the Zero Waste™ Box solution includes the following elements:

  • The cardboard recycling box.
  • Transport to the local TerraCycle® Center by UPS.
  • Recycling the products contained in the box.

What can be recycled with Zero Waste Boxes™ Accessories?

These boxes can be used to recycle the following products:

  • Badge holder.
  • Cords and chokers.
  • Metal and plastic fasteners (clips, reels, etc.).
  • Badges and plastic cards (all formats accepted).

We strongly recommend that you destroy any personal data or information that could identify individuals before disposing of badges or other accessories in the box.

The introduction of other types of waste can also lead to additional costs associated with the need for additional selective sorting. We therefore recommend that you do not include:

  • Chip or magnetic stripe cards (to recycle these cards, please use the Zero Waste™ Plastic Card Box).
  • Any waste considered hazardous (sharp, flammable, reactive, corrosive, radioactive, toxic, infectious or pathogenic) that presents a risk to people and/or the environment.
  • Medical waste, broken glass, batteries, oil-based paints and aerosols

How does it work?

The recycling box is easy to use - you don't have to do a thing!

how it works

All about the recycling process

The waste collected in Zero Waste™ Boxes is sorted according to material type.

  • Plastics are separated by type, melted and transformed into granules that can be used to manufacture new products.
  • Metals are also separated by type and melted into ingots for reuse.
  • Textiles are separated according to their composition. Natural fibers are converted into a material used for insulation, while synthetic fibers are transformed into a densified or granulated material mix used in carpet backing.

Need to recycle badges only?

What to do with unwanted plastic badges and cards? We used to throw them in the general garbage can, now we use the Zero Waste™ Box - Cards, which recycles all types of plastic cards.
